The Reviews are Flowing in for Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea in NYC
This past September 2016, the theatre play Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea which Deco Dawson serves as projection designer, had its official NYC premiere at the New Victory Theater on 42nd Street and Broadway. The reviews are in, the show seems to have stuck a chord with the press!

Deco Dawson Commission Premieres at the 2014 Governor General’s Awards
This week was the premiere of another innovative, biography short done by Filmmaker Deco Dawson in collaboration with the National Film Board in Ottawa at the 2014 Governor General’s Awards.
Celebrating the philanthropic efforts of arts champion Jean Giguere, Deco Dawson has created a fantasy film where the snowy winterland of Winnipeg is recreated using 2D flat print outs and is populated by art institutions.

Deco Dawson Wins The Winnipeg Mayor's Arts Award

Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz presented Deco Dawson with The Winnipeg Arts Council’s “Making a Mark” Award for an established artist, and honours an artists in any discipline for their outstanding achievement to the local and international arts scenes.
The awards presentation was held at the Hotel Fort Garry in front of 500 guests from the arts community.

the Best Short Documentary Film Award.
