THE LAST MOMENT
Synopsis
The Last Moment is a multi-fractured, multi-genre narrative which uses five styles of film history to explore the final moments of man’s life and the ill fated relationship woes that have lead up to his death.
NOTES:
The Last Moment is Dawson’s most ambitious, most accomplished film to date. The film incorporates both colour and black and white cinematography, a multitude of film formats including video, full dialogue and music placement as well as naturalistic and stylized acting styles.
The film was a commission for the Winnipeg Film Group, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the organization. After a sneak peek fundraising gala for the Winnipeg Film Group in May 2007, the film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Lead Actor Carson Nattrass can also be seen in Dawson’s FILM(lode) from 2000.
Co-cinematographer Craig Trudeau is also a co-producer on Dawson’s upcoming film Ne Crane Pas Sois Modeste.
The Art Director for THE LAST MOMENT is none other than Sharon A. Johnson, Dawson’s longtime actor and collaborator from such films as FILM(knout) and the Fever of the Western Nile.
